Power Generation - In order to reduce its exposure to the cyclical nature of the sugar sector, Satish Group has developed follows an integrated business model. Bagasse is a high-calorie residue that is left over after sugarcane juice is extracted. It is used to generate energy instead of traditional thermal options, which eliminates greenhouse gas emissions.
Currently, bagasse-fired boilers provide the necessary power for Satish Group's sugar mills. The cogeneration of power from bagasse is being promoted by the Indian government. This helps close reduce the power supply-demand gap in India by improving the return for integrated sugar mills on the one hand and producing green power on the other.
