Who we are?

Satish Sugars Ltd. was started as a Khandasari unit in 2000-01 with an initial capacity of 100 TCD. In 2004-05, based on factors such as financial feasibility, operational efficiency and higher return on investment, Vacuum Pan Technology was adopted. The processing capacity of the upgraded plant was 1250 TCD (tonnes crushed per day).

In 2006, the capacity of the plant was upgraded to 4000 TCD and an industry benchmark was created for capacity expansion in the shortest time. The processing capacity of the plant was further increased to 7500 TCD and 10000 TCD in the fiscal year 2009-10 and 2012-13, respectively.

Now, SSL has embarked on the mission of growing sugarcane in more than 10,000 acres of land and making the produce available to the plant during the crushing season in 2017-18. Sugarcane seedlings and fertilizers have been distributed to farmers who supply their produce to the company. Plans are also on the anvil to bring an additional 10,000 acres of land under sugarcane cultivation. SSL has received help from SDF for its sugarcane development activities.

Planing to install Khandasari Unit at Hunshyal P.G., for solving farmers problems

started with 200TCD Khandasari Unit in 2000-2001.

The Unit adopted Vacuum Pan Technology keeping in view its economic viability, efficiency and higher return on investment. The initial capacity of the reformed unit was 1250 TCD.

SSL has carried out a major substantial expansion of the sugar unit up to 4000TCD in a record time of 8 months

SSL has setup 15MW Co-Generation plant & Sugar unit was further expanded to 7500TCD in 2009-10

Co-generation plant expanded to 31MW in 2011-2012 and Sugar unit was further expanded 10,000TCD

Company had expanded the existing 45KLPD Distillery unit to 60KLPD unit in 2013-14

Dear Stakeholders,

We established a Khandasari sugar manufacturing unit in the year 2000-01 with the vision of contributing to the social and economic development of our country. In a very short span of time, our factory exceeded all expectations and became a force to reckon with in the sugar industry.Today, while our sugar plant has a processing capacity of 10000 metric tonnes per day (TCD), our distillery and power cogeneration units have a production capacity of 60 KLPD and 31 MW, respectively. We have achieved several remarkable feats over the years due to the confidence reposed in the company by the governing board, staff, suppliers, farmers and financial institutions.

The love and cooperation extended by our staff, farmers and the public have spurred us to set a target of earning an annual revenue of Rs. 1,000 cro~re in the coming years. As part of the strategy to achieve this goal, we have established a new company by the name Belgaum Sugars Pvt. Ltd. This new company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of SSL, began its operations in November 2016 and successfully completed 5 sugar seasons with the utilisation of 100% rated plant capacity by achieving targeted cane crushing at 95% yearly.
